Partners of Veterans Association Veterans Spouse Scholarship

Walk for a Veteran Inc has partnered with Partners of Veterans Association Australia to establish a scholarship to support veteran spouses completing a full time Certificate III or above with a vision to aid or improve the lives of serving military personnel, Veterans and/or their families.

Expression of Interest (EOI)

To be considered for the Walk for a Veteran Inc Scholarship, applicants are required to:

  • meet the eligibility criteria listed below

  • complete all sections of the EOI form

  • provide all requested documents

  • be available to attend an interview (upon invitation only)

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible, an applicant must:

 

  • be a current spouse of veterans or active service member from the ADF, including surviving spouses

  • be a domestic student (domestic students are anyone who is Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident)

  • be eligible to enrol in a part-time/full time course at Certificate III or above

  • applicants for this scholarship demonstrate clear academic goals, leadership potential and a deep desire to create positive change. They are committed to strengthening communities at home and around the world.

  • Provide evidence of engagement with veteran community

  • scholarships are only awarded for the upcoming academic year and not retroactive for completed courses

  • not currently be in receipt of any Scholarships, or any other equivalent award or scholarship from an overseas sponsor or the Commonwealth Government designed to offset HDR fees;

  • copy of current resume

  • 2-character references including contact details

  • proof of partners military service

  • permission for PVA to complete background checks, if required
