Senator for South Australia Andrew Lockhart McLachlan CSC has proudly supported the Walk for a Veteran with PTSD since its inception, and was honoured to become an Ambassador for the newly established Walk for a Veteran Inc. charity.

 

Prior to entering the Australian Parliament in February 2020, Andrew served as a member of the South Australian Legislative Council for six years including as President of the Chamber.

 

Andrew has served 25 years in the Australian Army Reserve which has included two sojourns at the foot of the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan. His resolve to support the wellbeing of veterans and their families has continued unabated during his time in public life.

 

The Senator’s experiences in conflict inspired him to become a legatee of Legacy, a volunteer with Disaster Relief Australia and walk alongside his friend Chad McLaren for this great initiative, Walk for a Veteran.
